That Ben, what a guy.
Tonight while we were in the Walmart parking lot Ben saw a monster truck. Not a real one. Just one of those trucks that some puffed up dipstick had put up high on huge wheels. Close enough for Ben though. His reaction? "That's incedible!"
This Sunday I sang a song for our church banquet with a power point presentation of some nativity type pictures. This was the one that went with the chorus:
"Hallelujah! The king is here, given for all men.
For today the holy son of God is born in Bethlehem."
For today the holy son of God is born in Bethlehem."
I worked on the computer and sang it a few times at home. Then Glen and I ran through the song with the power point quite a few times at church before we got it right. While all this was happening Ben played with his toys and then later sat in the sound booth with Glen.
"Hallelulah! The king (indistinct mumbles), given for amen.
For today (indistinct mumbles) of God is mornin' Africa."
I love Ben. He is absolutely the best kid ever. (You should hear him sing that song with his sweet little voice. I'll try and get it on tape tomorrow. It is the cutest thing ever. I have no idea why he thinks Jesus was born in Africa though. I don't even know how he knows the word Africa. I'm racking my brain here and coming up with nothing.)
He just kissed me goodnight. On his way upstairs with his daddy he was talking about how he had kissed me goodnight because "Mommy needed a kiss." Then he said, "Then I wiped it off." Ha ha ha. Oh man. It never ends with him.
