My Benjamin...

Ben makes me laugh. Hard. At least once every hour. Today we were relaxing in bed. I had an empty glass of milk sitting on the headboard. Ben grabbed it, downed the last few drops, turned to me, smiled and said... "Duh licious!" Honestly. I've never heard him say that before and the way he did it... He cracks me up.

Right now he is playing with his Fisher Price Little People and trains...
Notice how they are all waiting in an orderly line for the train to arrive. After I took this picture the train pulled up and they proceeded to climb on one by one, in order. When the train was full it pulled away, the remaining Little People moved up to the crossing, the next train pulled up, and the Little People got on board... In order.

Yesterday, his cars all lined up for icecream from his icecream truck. One by one they pulled up to the window and said, "Canna I have some icecream please?" And the icecream truck said, "Yes." Then the car said, "Thank-you for the icecream." The truck said, "You're welcome." Then he pressed the button at the top of the icecream truck to play the icecream music and the car pulled away. The next car in line pulled up, the process started again, and it went that way through the whole line of eight or so cars over and over. So orderly. So polite. So stinkin' funny.

I've never met a kid like this one. He's so odd, and I haven't even gotten into the belly button fetish and his obsession with having a booger free nose... Which of course he absolutely won't pick. That would be messy and way too normal.

I love my weirdo. He's so awesome.

Ben you are everything and more than I wish I could be. Just being close to you gives me enough to get by.

Next time I see you I'm gonna teach you how to pick your nose.

All you do is stick your finger in there, dig around, grab the goods, and then go give the boogie to someone. I like to give mine to Aunty. And you have to do it at least once an hour.

Don't worry...I'll get you through this.

When I have kids, I hope I get one just like Ben. He sounds fabulous. Every one of these posts makes me wish I was closer so I could see him. And I don't normally like that much. I also want a kid like my nephew Adam, too. The most polite kid I've ever met.

He definitely is one of a kind. His orderly ways are the cutest thing. I love looking at all of his things lined up. And then he's just so adorable on top of it. What's not to love?

Every mother should have children like Ben. Not pick your nose!? What's up with that? I would love a kid like that. I love reading your posts, Ben. You are such a cute kid.
