Mommy's Note:

I have to take a minute here to gush about Ben. I just put him down for his nap. (By put him down I mean stood there while he put himself down. I told him it was nap time and he happily ran to his little bed, climbed in, and tucked himself in. I gave him a bottle and he said "I lus you!" I turned on his music, closed the blinds, turned out the light, and shut the door. He's so easy if he was a food he'd be Kraft Dinner!)

There's no question... my Benjamin is a treasure straight from heaven. He was sick this week, but you could hardly tell except for the incredibly long naps and the runny nose and coughing. Mostly he was still his usual happy little self. He still danced and sang his way through his days.
Oh sure, he never eats. He has a bad habit of putting toys and remotes in my drinks. Sometimes he won't take no for an answer. But... He doesn't have temper tantrums. He lines his toys up all nice and tidy. He doesn't throw things. He says please and thank-you. He makes Glen and I laugh and smile all day... Everyday.

For instance... His newest passion is Winnie the Pooh, or as he calls him, "Winnie Bear." He can't get enough of Winnie and his friends "Gobbit" and "Digger" and "Pliglet". Today while Digger was teaching Gobbit how to hop Ben started hopping with them and singing some little gibberish song that only he understands. He sure is good at making his Mommy smile. He is my sunshine boy and definately makes me happy when life is grey.

The wonderful thing about Benny
Is Benny's a wonderful thing!
His heart is happy and loving
His smiles can make my heart sing!

He's bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy
Fun, fun, fun, fun, FUN!
But the most wonderful thing about Benny
Is I'm the Bennys Mum!
I'm the Bennys Mum!
(What more could a girl want?)

Ben, I could just tell that you were a sweet kid by how your mom writes about you. Good job on being such a sweet and well-behaved boy.

Ben you are just Awesome. Cute song Mom. When Trav was Bens age until he was 3 1/2 he was in love with pooh, too. He actually thought he ws Christopher Robin. We even had to call him Christopher. He told the health nurse his name was Christopher Robin. She new his name and thought he was trying to say his real name so decided that he needed speech therapy. As it turned out he went for speech therapy for a year.I guess he needed it afterall.
I'm not sure who he likes to be now, but whoever it is he can say realy well. (I love you Trav, Really!)
Enjoy your Pooh Bear, Ben.

Ben, your mom is very lucky to have a sweet boy like you. I'm glad that you love Pooh Bear. So does your cousin Ethan. He has a pooh blanket and it goes everywhere with him. When Luke got one at his shower, Ehtan thought it was his and cried when we told him he couldn't have it. He sure loves his Pooh bear and friends.

Okay people, this is starting to feel like a personal attack. I can't have a baby right now! I can't take one to Nepal hiking, and that's where I want to be this time next year...Now I have seen Camry's blog, and now Ben's and I am on my way to look at Sam's, though the picture of him on Becky's blog was enough to push me to the edge! I may have to quit blogging - it's bad for my biological clock.
